Business / Economics Teacher

We are seeking a full time qualified business studies/economics teacher required for September. The successful candidate  is required to teach both business studies and economics to IGCSE and A level standard.

Administrator / PA

The Learning Centre (TLC) Peyia Ltd operates TLC Private School. The school recently announced the acquisition of new premises in Peyia, to open fully in September 2019. We now seek to make a permanent appointment of a part time administrator to assist us in the next stage of the school’s development.

The successful applicant will assist the Directors in a number of administrative tasks. Initially the post will be a part time position but will increase to a full time position by September 2019.

The successful applicant will be based in a modern, equipped office at the new company headquarters in Agios Georgios, Peyia.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in an administrative position is essential
  • Fluent and articulate in both spoken Greek and English is essential
  • Able to read, write and word-process both Greek and English is essential
  • Translation skills: Greek to English and English to Greek
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Cooperative and willing to be flexible on working hours
  • Computer skills: Good knowledge of MS Office and the necessary keyboard skills to produce documents and letter in both English and Greek
  • Telephone skills: An excellent manner in both Greek and English

Role Profile and Personal Attributes:

No previous experience of a school environment is necessary. If you have the skills and positive attitude, we will give you the knowledge and understanding of our company and school operations.

There will be an induction programme plus on-going training and support.

Secondary

Teacher of Computing and Computer Science required from January 2017.
The successful applicant will have knowledge of the English curriculum content from primary to Advanced level and be able to evidence successful secondary teaching experience to exam level. Further information is available on request

Part Time Teacher of Chemistry required from January 2017.
The successful applicant will have knowledge of the English curriculum content from IGCSE to Advanced level and be able to evidence successful secondary teaching experience to exam level. Further information is available on request

English as a Second Language Tutors

If you hold a qualification in the teaching of English as a Second Language Tutors (ESOL) to speakers of other languages, we want to hear from you.

Tutors

We are keen to hear from tutors able to teach languages other than English and Greek.

Administration

No vacancies at this time although our school’s range of activities is expanding and we are always keen to hear from anyone who feels they can offer sound organisational skills, together with administration competencies.

Private Institute

We have a number of vacancies available for tutors to work within our licensed Private Institute. Please contact the school for further information and for an informal discussion with one of our senior staff. Tutors are subject to approval through the usual process: KYSATS equivalent on their degree and relevance of qualification to subject(s) to be taught. Also, see below.

  2. Teachers with degrees gained from universities outside Cyprus or Greece will be required to have their qualifications approved through a process involving submission to KYSATS (the regulating body for academic awards).
